My work is useful when a brand is more than a company: when it has fans, builders, artists, developers, founders, users, investors, contributors, or adjacent communities creating meaning around it.
I help ecosystem-driven organizations understand the people, signals and systems forming around their products, stories, communities and markets. I help teams distinguish signal from noise, trust from activity and meaningful opportunity from vague collaboration energy.

I make complex relationship systems easier to see.

Attention as ecosystem infrastructure
A lot of my work comes back to attention.
I think attention is one of the scarcest resources in any ecosystem. Not because it should be captured or manipulated, but because it carries time, trust, care, curiosity and possibility.
In a world shaped by AI-generated content, automation, crypto incentives, bots, algorithms and constant noise, attention is harder to read. Activity does not always mean trust. Engagement does not always mean belonging. A loud signal is not always a meaningful one.
I help teams ask:
- What attention is real?
- What is being performed?
- What is being extracted?
- What is being ignored?
- What deserves more care?
- What should this attention become?
How I work
I work best through words, outlines, conversations, notes and synthesis.
I like complex ecosystem puzzles. I look for the interacting pieces and how they affect each other, especially where people, attention, trust, tools, incentives and time all meet.
My style is:
- Context-first: I want to understand what has already happened before recommending what to do.
- Systems-minded: I look at relationships and patterns, not just isolated tasks.
- Plainspoken: I try to make complicated things easier to understand without flattening them.
- Scope-aware: I care about what is actually being asked, what is being offered and what labor is being implied.
- Relationship-literate: I pay attention to trust, reciprocity, provenance and social context.
- Useful: I want the work to become something people can act on, revisit, or hand to someone else.
Proof and background
My background includes DAO operations, grant management, governance, cross-community coordination, creative technology networks, AI-enabled workflows and community systems.
Through Chones Digital Maker Space, I have been practicing this work directly: stewarding a creative and technical network, clarifying member offerings, designing showcases and hackathons, shaping grant and program language, building proof surfaces, and thinking through how trust, attention and opportunity move through a community.
I consult independently as BorrowLucid and use my Chones member email for business correspondence.
